Ok so I decided to start blogging because there is just too much that happens in my life that I don't write down. I think blogging is kind of like a fun journal...that you share with everyone. Just to warn you, this blog is going to be longer than normal because I have to catch up on everything that has happened in the past year! Me and my husband, Alex, have been married for 9 1/2 months now. It has gone by so fast and I can't believe our one year anniversary is coming up! We have had a pretty crazy first year with jobs, moving, church callings, school, and just life! We have moved 3 times in the past 9 months. First we lived in Vidor, Texas which is where Alex grew up. Alex did scaffolding full time at an oil company while I took some classes at Lamar University. Then we decided (very spur of the moment as usual) that we should move so that Alex could start school at Lone Star college. Well of course we did not have a place to stay and the fall semester was starting soon so we decided to move in with my parents until I could find a job and an apartment. I did not expect it to take me so long to find a job, but it took me a month. Finally I found a really good job at a hospital in The Woodlands and we found an apartment in Tomball really close to where we were going to school. So Alex started taking classes and I was working and taking a class. I have really loved being closer to my family, but we both really miss Alex's family too. This semester I had to take microbiology and Alex finally decided what he was going to do which is mechanical drafting. I'm so glad it is only a two year degree and he will be done soon! He also recently got a job at Papa John's pizza delivering pizzas. Everytime I get into my car now it smells like pizza! Torture! I think Alex has eaten more pizza this past week than he has in his whole life! As for me, my job is going really good. I love the nurses and other PCAs (Patient Care Assistant..that's what I am) that I work with. This job has also helped me get more used to the whole nursing environment and I haven't changed my mind...I still want to be a nurse. :) I can say that I have seen some interesting things though. I have grown so much in the past 9 months just from life experience. I can tell you one thing that will force you to grow up is marriage. Marriage can be hard... and it will be hard. But it is so worth it when you find that person. I am so grateful for Alex and all that he does for me and is for me. I look up to him so much and I love being around him. Well I guess that's it for now... I promise the next ones won't be this long :)
